Jojo’s Sanctuary strives to prevent trafficking and exploitation by educating, protecting and empowering vulnerable children, families and communities in Northern Thailand.
Educate: Jojo’s provides child protection and positive parenting trainings through the Child and Family Empowerment Program, and gives scholarships for school uniforms to families who would otherwise need to place their children in children’s homes to pay the expenses. They also give partial tuition scholarships to high school and university students who are stateless.
Protect: The staff are all registered foster parents and work with the Chiang Mai government orphanage and emergency shelter to develop the foster care system in Thailand.
Empower: Jojo’s Sanctuary assists stateless children born in Thailand with getting their Thai social security cards and run a holistic family strengthening program called Building Family Dreams that provides educational workshops on healthy families, finances and nutrition while providing grants to create income generating projects, and making sure the families have opportunities to spend quality time together having fun!
